Log on Instructions

  1. Nickname: Type the name that you want to go by in the chat room.

  2. E-mail(optional): If you include your e-mail address here, your nickname will appear as a link.

  3. Text Color: Choose a color for your messages.  The default is black.

  4. [Join Chat]: Just click this button to enter the chat room!

HTML is not allowed, but if you type an URL it will appear as a link.
If a user clicks on it they will view that page in new browser window.

NOTE: This chat is logged, and any rude behavior can result in the user being
permanently banned from the chat room.
 

 

 

Chat Room Tips

  • To send a message to the room, just type it into the Text Box.  Then hit Enter, or click [Update].
  • To send a Private Message, choose a nickname from the Select Box, then type your message normally.  This message will not appear in the room. Instead, it will only be seen by the chatter that you sent it to.
  • To Receive a Private Message, just click [Update].
    • If your browser is up-to-date, and you have enabled Javascript, you will see a notice in the message window that you have a private message.  Click [Update] to receive your private messages in a small, floating window.  Just type your response into the space provided, and hit Enter.  If you don't want to respond, hit Escape.
    • If you have an older browser, your private message will appear in the top frame.  To respond, select the sender's nickname from the Select Box, type the message normally, and click [Update].
  • If you don't wish to receive private messages, just select "Ignore Private Messages" from the Select Box.  Now you will not view any private messages sent to you.  In this mode, any message that you enter is sent to the room.
  • To Create a Private room, click the "Create Private Room" Link. You will be able to set up your own room, and automatically invite whoever you want join you there, via the private massage system.

 

 

Framefree Mode
If you're having trouble reading the messages, convert to Framefree mode.
Click your mouse on the bottom frame and drag it almost all the way to the top.

The framefree chat does not autorefresh,
so you'll need to hit [Update] periodically to see new messages.  
However, this mode is less likely to cause errors.

NOTE: Netscape 2 users!  To use this mode you must:

  1. Click Options on top menu bar.

  2. Select General Preferences.

  3. Choose the Colors Tab.

  4. Check "Alway Use My Colors, Overriding Document."

  • NO RELIGIOUS ARGUMENTS, this is a Christian Chat Room... NOT a WAR ROOM!!!

    • However, discussion of any topic is just fine as long as everyone can be respectful of each other.

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and everyone members one another. - Romans 12:3-5

  • No Profanity - No vulgar or sexual language or references to such.
    This will result in banning with or without warning.

    • Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. - Ephesians 4:29

    • When banned once may be allowed in only after agreeing with the guidelines. Second offense will result in permanent banning.

    For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. - Ephesians 6:12

    • Any attempts at retaliation from being banned or for any other reason will be reported to your ISP.  Everyone's ISP information is recorded upon entering the domain and particularly the chat rooms. With this information you can be traced and reported.
